ALMAWATECH implemented a compact, high-performance neutralization system in container design (ALMA Neutra) for the treatment of acidic production wastewater for an international tobacco producer. The aim was the safe and standard-compliant neutralization of 30 m³/day of wastewater from process and cleaning areas with strongly fluctuating pH values.

The system was designed as a complete ALMA module and includes an agitated batch tank for homogenizing and buffering the batch streams. Neutralization takes place via a fully automatic, pH-controlled regulation system, which ensures precise adjustment of the required wastewater quality. Dosing modules for caustic and acid, media-resistant fittings and robust sensor technology ensure reliable and reproducible operation - even with high load fluctuations.

As the plant location has challenging climatic conditions, the entire system was insulated and heated to ensure process stability even at low outside temperatures. The compact container design enables quick assembly, flexible positioning on the factory premises and uncomplicated integration into the existing infrastructure.

With this solution, ALMAWATECH offers the customer a reliable, maintenance-friendly and sustainably designed neutralization system that meets all relevant environmental and discharge requirements. The project underlines our expertise in the implementation of customized systems for industrial users with demanding wastewater profiles.
