This year’s field trip took the ALMAWATECH team first to Frankenthal to visit KSB and then on to Groß-Umstadt. The day was the perfect combination of technical insights, professional exchange, and a shared team experience.

In the morning, we took a tour of the KSB plant in Frankenthal. During the tour, we gained interesting insights into the manufacturing processes, technical procedures, and production operations of one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and valves.

As a company specializing in industrial water and wastewater technology, the visit was particularly interesting to us, since pump technology plays a central role in many of our facilities and projects. The plant tour therefore not only provided fascinating insights into the production process but also offered many points of connection to our day-to-day project work.

After the technical program, the group continued on to Groß-Umstadt. There, a completely different activity awaited the team that afternoon: a group covered wagon ride through the Groß-Umstadt vineyards.

During the tour, we were able to explore the wine region around Groß-Umstadt and gained interesting insights into the work in the vineyard as well as the winemaking process. Amid the vineyards, there was plenty of time for conversations away from the daily grind.

The ride was accompanied by regional wines, non-alcoholic beverages, and a light snack. It was precisely this relaxed atmosphere that made the tour a nice contrast to the technical morning program and provided a good opportunity to further strengthen team cohesion.

With a fantastic supporting program, beautiful views, and plenty of good conversations, the vineyard tour quickly became one of the highlights of the day.

For everyone who wasn't ready to call it a day yet, the group then headed out together for dinner.

The field trip was thus a successful blend of technology, professional development, networking, and team spirit.
