ALMAWATECH in Babenhausen and Essen, BHU in Leonberg and the subsidiary Eco ALMA in Brazil are starting 2024 with full order books. Orders from industrial customers in the food and non-food sectors as well as orders from research institutions and waste disposal companies cover a broad range of clients, with the private sector accounting for around 80% of the order volume.
In terms of technology, the order backlog includes practically all processes offered: from anaerobic treatment for biogas production to aerobic biology, chemical-physical precipitation plants, special membrane technology systems and the treatment of wastewater and river water. We also supply ion exchange systems for the selective removal of heavy metals and trace substances as well as biofiltration systems for the reuse of wastewater
80 % of orders are attributable to the DACH market, 20 % to the rest of Europe and Latin America. ALMAWATECH already invested in the further development of the development and production facility for water chemistry in Essen in 2023, as well as in the expansion of the disposal centers in Brazil, where customer wastewater is treated.
Research and and development projects for new and further development of innovative processes are mainly carried out at the Babenhausen site. This also involves close cooperation with universities.
