Solution & implementation
The treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater containing grease requires special steps to ensure purity and quality. Our process begins by first passing the production wastewater through a customized grease separator. This step effectively reduces COD (chemical oxygen demand) and lipophilic substances.
In the next step, the treated wastewater is homogenized in two stacking tanks. It then enters our state-of-the-art ALMA NeoDAF Blue plant. Here, the wastewater is treated using our specially developed precipitants and flocculants. These tailor-made specialty chemicals precipitate the dissolved wastewater constituents and form floating sludge flocs. These sludge flocs are separated from the ALMA NeoDAF Blue using the integrated scraper and transported into the sludge stack.
Our precipitants and flocculants are produced in-house and are specially tailored to the requirements of this chemical wastewater treatment. Dosing is precise and reliable via our ALMA DOSING STATION.
