Carolina Hupfer joined the active management of ALMAWATECH on 01.02.2025. As Managing Director with sole power of representation, she will assume responsibility in the growing ALMAWATECH with a focus on human resources, finance, controlling and strategy development. Carolina Hupfer is a daughter of Gottlieb Hupfer, a shareholder of ALMWATECH and has been familiar with the company for some time as a member of the Management Advisory Board. Carolina Hupfer is an economist and studied at the universities of Bamberg, Budapest and Halle. During her studies, she gained practical experience in the water and wastewater technology sector. Until the end of 2024, she was Managing Director of the German PlasticsEurope industry association in Frankfurt.

The previous member of the management Johanna Hüther, also the daughter of Gottlieb Hupfer, will remain with the company as a shareholder. She is withdrawing from the operational business for family reasons. Johanna Hüther has worked for ALMAWATECH for eight years, including several years on the management board, and has done valuable development work. The company and management of ALMAWATECH are deeply indebted to Johanna Hüther.

ALMA MABET GmbH, which was founded by Hupfer Greentech as the majority shareholder, has taken over the company shares of longstanding commercial director Gerhard Häring. At the same time, the authorized signatories Dominik Hoffmann (project planning and sales) and Dominik Kieser (project management) have been given shares in ALMA MABET GmbH. Gerhard Häring will remain associated with the group of companies through his participation in the Brazilian business (EcoALMA). He will continue to advise the Group on financial strategy and entrepreneurial issues.

Thanks to the integration of BHU Umwelttechnik Leonberg and organic growth at the Babenhausen and Essen sites, ALMAWATECH has grown considerably and now has over 40 employees in Germany. The year 2024 was characterized by full capacity utilization. The order books are full for the new year, demand is good and is mainly driven by three tasks from industrial customers in Germany: Meeting stricter legal limits, replacing outdated existing systems and water recycling to achieve sustainability goals. Research projects on the removal of trace substances, energy from wastewater and sustainable treatment agents extend the pipeline of new solutions and products. With this toolbox, ALMAWATECH is heading into 2025 with confidence.
