Last Tuesday, we welcomed numerous customers, partners, speakers, suppliers and other interested parties to our third Industrial Water Day in Groß-Umstadt.

A big thank you to all visitors who contributed significantly to the success of the event through their interest, their questions and the intensive professional exchange. It was a great pleasure for us to share our expertise and at the same time to be able to take away new ideas from the field.

Special thanks also go to our speakers, who highlighted current issues and solutions in industrial water and wastewater technology with well-founded, exciting specialist presentations. Your commitment and expertise shaped the content of this day and enriched it in a special way.

Of course, we would also like to thank our customers, partner companies and suppliers for the many years of trust, the good cooperation and the stimulating discussions, which also opened up many valuable perspectives outside of the lecture program.

Last but not least, a big thank you to our entire ALMAWATECH team. The organization, the set-up, the process - it was only thanks to your commitment that everything went so smoothly. Without your commitment in the background, this day would not have been possible.

Tobias Höfer and Jonas Kaiser reported on the implementation of a wastewater project for a medical technology company from an operator's perspective - from conception to integration into production operations.

Scaling on reverse osmosis membranes - Prof. Dr. Gerd Braun (Cologne University of Applied Sciences)

A scientifically sound and at the same time practice-oriented lecture on causes, measurement methods and countermeasures for scaling phenomena on RO membranes - with a special focus on prevention through suitable operational management.

Wastewater treatment at the Leuna site - Jens Thürmann (REMONDIS Industrie Service GmbH)

Jens Thürmann showed how industrial wastewater flows can be treated efficiently and safely in a chemical park like Leuna - taking into account a wide variety of material flows and legal requirements.

Networking in the water industry - Dr. Gerd Sagawe (German Water Partnership e.V.)

Dr. Sagawe presented GWP's international work and emphasized the importance of cooperation and global knowledge transfer for the future of water management.

Anaerobic treatment of wastewater from the sugar industry - Stefan Köppl

Stefan Köppl presented the anaerobic treatment of organically highly contaminated wastewater from the sugar industry - including challenges with fluctuating loads and opportunities through energy recovery via biogas.

An international look at modern concepts of industrial disposal and wastewater treatment.

COD-proportional dosing of operating resources - Laura Loreth

Our colleague Laura Loreth presented an intelligent dosing concept for the needs-based addition of process additives based on continuous COD measurement values - with direct benefits for efficiency and environmental balance.

Conclusion: A day that connects - with a view to the future

The 3rd Industrial Water Day at ALMAWATECH was not just a specialist event, but above all a place to meet, exchange ideas and learn together. The variety of presentations and perspectives showed how dynamically industrial water and wastewater technology is developing - and how crucial cooperation between research, industry and practice is.

We are already looking forward to the next Industrial Water Day - and to many new projects, ideas and partnerships that we will realize together by then.
