ALMA BHU STR
Our proprietary Sludge-to-Resources (STR) process represents a method for converting sewage sludge into high-quality fertilizer granules. In contrast to the conventional incineration of sewage sludge, the STR process is characterized by a positive energy balance, which means that more energy is generated than is required for the process.
The resulting fertilizer granulate is of high quality and has a remarkable phosphorus content of more than 10 %. Sludge recycling is a significant step towards comprehensive and responsible wastewater treatment. It not only helps to reduce the environmental impact, but also transforms sewage sludge into valuable resources that can be used in agriculture.
