Task
REMONDIS Industrie Service has been providing waste management solutions for all types of hazardous waste for industrial and commercial customers for over 40 years. As a subsidiary of Germany's largest recycling company, REMONDIS Industrie Service disposes of and treats a wide range of waste types from sectors such as the automotive industry, chemical parks, aviation, mechanical engineering, heavy industry, workshops, surface technology, filling stations, shipyards and many more.
In 2022, Almawatech was commissioned with the construction of the new CP plant for the treatment of wastewater from the disposal of hazardous wastewater at the Leuna site.
Design data
Construction of a batch plant for the treatment of highly contaminated industrial wastewater, for the reduction of heavy metals, hydrocarbons, COD and AOX.
Waste water volume:
- Max. 120 m³/d
Solution & implementation
Our ALMA CHEM MCW CP system was installed to treat the liquid hazardous waste. The wastewater treatment was carried out as a batch system with additional cyanide decontamination.
The ALMA CHEM MCW works according to the process principle of precipitation and flocculation, using our operating agents ALMA FLOC (precipitant), ALMA hydrated white lime (neutralizing agent), ALMA FHM (flocculation aid / polymer), ALMA Additive OS (sulphide precipitant) and ALMA Additive (hydrogen peroxide).
For ease of operation and maintenance, the system is accessible via an operating platform from which the tank lids with the FU-controlled agitators, radar probes for continuous level measurement and dosing valves for the operating materials can be reached.
The treatment reactors are equipped with our patented floating decanters. The floating decanter enables flexible removal of the clear phase even with fluctuating sludge volumes.
To ensure complete removal of the sludge flocs, two parallel multi-layer filters(ALMA FIL) are installed, which are operated using pneumatic valves.
The system is controlled via our control cabinet with 19-inch touch panel. All regulation and control processes can be controlled and monitored using our patented ALMA Control software.
