BRAZETEC GmbH (formerly SAXONIA Technical Materials GmbH) is a renowned manufacturer of metallic functional materials that are characterized by special alloys developed in-house. These unique alloys give their diverse contact materials highly specialized properties that meet even the most demanding applications.
In addition to metallic functional materials, BRAZETEC is a leader in the production of soldering materials, solder pastes and fluxes. Its high-quality products are supplied from Germany to all parts of the world.
In 2022/2023, BRAZETEC relocated its production site from Hanau, Hesse, to a new modern plant in Alzenau, Bavaria. As part of this project, a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant was built by ALMAWATECH to meet the highest environmental standards.
Design data
The wastewater to be treated has a significant proportion of solids and an extremely high metal content. It is made up of mixed wastewater from various sources, including the brushing plant, belt degreasing, chemical production and the analytical center.

- Compliance with the limit values according to Annex 40 of the Wastewater Ordinance (AbwV)
Solution & implementation
Our solution includes a specialized chemical-physical batch treatment known as ALMA CHEM MCW.
The wastewater is pumped from various collection points via pumping stations into a mixing and equalization tank. In a further step, the mixed wastewater is fed into a reaction tank where the required precipitants, flocculants and neutralizing agents(our wastewater chemicals) are carefully dosed.
After the reaction phase, the sludge and clear phases are precisely separated. The sludge phase is transferred through a sludge thickener into a chamber filter press for efficient processing.
The purified clear phase from the treatment process then passes through a gravel filter(ALMA FIL), which effectively separates even the last traces of sludge flocs.
